With daytime temperatures quickly climbing into the mid-70s F and 80s F (20s C) here in Athens, GA, it is time to break out the grill, invite friends and family over and throw a burger bar get-together!

My burger bar always has an array of MorningStar Farms® burgers on it! Speaking of burgers, the other night my daughter and I were talking about our favorite vegetarian burgers and I realized that MorningStar Farms® burgers have been a staple of mine since my college years!  Now, my daughter is a sophomore in college, and MorningStar Farms® burgers are her go to when she is looking for a healthier, better-for-her lunch or dinner option, as well!

Backyard Burger Bar

I usually like to keep things simple at summer get-togethers, so, I head to my neighborhood Walmart to pick up items for my Burger Bar such as chickpeas, chips such as Cheez-it® Snap’d™, Hellmann’s® Ketchup, and Mayonnaise, Cerveza Dos Equis Lager Especial Mexican Beer, and ingredients for a sauce such as this Spicy Green Goddess Sauce.

I also make sure to pick up a variety of MorningStar Farms® products like a pack of MorningStar Farms® Meat Lovers Burgers and MorningStar Farms® Veggie Bacon Strips.

In my opinion, the MorningStar Farms® Meat Lovers Burger has such an epic “meaty” texture!  And, crisped up MorningStar Farms® Veggie Bacon Strips taste so much like real bacon! In fact, my daughter prefers MorningStar Farms® Veggie Bacon Strips to real bacon, at breakfast as well as on her burgers – even though she isn’t a vegetarian anymore.

Delicious MorningStar BC Burger

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, MorningStar Farms® products are not only for vegetarians – they are for everyone! Protein-packed, MorningStar Farms® products can be found in the frozen foods section at Walmart stores nationwide.

And, speaking of MorningStar Farms®, this summer The Burger Bar Truck will be driving around to visit Walmart stores around the country! One of the featured recipes on the truck will be The BC Burger! You can check out this link to see where and when The Burger Bar Truck will be at a Walmart near you!

A little more about some of my backyard burger bar staples:
Flavorful, Dos Equis is a light-tasting and smooth golden pilsner-style beer made from the choicest hops that have been brewed the same way since 1897. And, Dos Equis is the proud, Official Beer Sponsor of the College Football Playoff.
Hellmann’s® Real Mayonnaise is made with real, simple ingredients, like cage-free eggs, oil, and vinegar. The ideal condiment for spreading on sandwiches and wraps, grilling juicy burgers, mixing creamy dips, and preparing fresh salads.
Hellmann’s® Real Ketchup is also made with real, simple ingredients. Sweetened only with honey. No High Fructose Corn Syrup.

As part of my backyard burger bar, I also included the fixings for the super easy and super tasty BC Burger. Which consists of MorningStar Farms® Meat Lovers Burger, MorningStar Farms® Veggie Bacon Strips, Sliced Cheddar Cheese, Bun, Hellmann’s® Ketchup and Mayo!

Delicious MorningStar BC Burger.

For spice lovers like my mom, I included a Spicy Green Goddess Sauce. Like MorningStar Farms® products, this sauce is made with better-for-me ingredients such as spinach, chickpeas, cilantro, water, olive oil, jalapeno, and lime juice! It doubles as a dipping sauce as well as a slathering sauce.

Very often we dip nachos or fries into this sauce. This Spicy Green Goddess Sauce is also delicious smothered on a MorningStar Farms® Meat Lovers Burger and topped with some MorningStar Farms® Veggie Bacon Strips and Hellmann’s® Ketchup. Then you can chase it down with a tall, cold, Cerveza Dos Equis Lager Especial Mexican Beer!
