Looking back at my high school years, I would say that I took Elizabeth Gilbert’s words of wisdom to “embrace the glorious mess that you are,” to mean “embrace the glorious mess that’s your desk!” Yes, my desk (not my whole room) was in total disarray – covered with books, paints, post-its, and piles of paper. My mom would stick her head into my room, take one look at my desk and say “if your desk looks like that, imagine the mess INSIDE your head!” What my mom didn’t know is that I could find whatever I needed, when I needed it – in that chaotic mess of a desk – and my head 🙄 !
However, my daughter is the exact opposite of what I used to be. Her desk is immaculate. Her books are alphabetically organized, her paints and piles of paper neatly stacked – and she only uses post-its to mark pages she needs to! Crazy huh?! She has color coded lists for everything – from our summer vacation itinerary to our weekly shopping lists to her to-do list to prep for college next year!
So, yesterday when I had to run back to Walmart to pick up a few sundries that I forgot (as I forgot to consult the color-coded shopping list she sent me earlier), I happened on these affordable, ALL NEW HP Deskjet 3636 Printers in 3 cool colors – Vibrant Red, Dragonfly Blue, Sporty Purple!
Seeing my daughter goes through her weight in colored markers and colored highlighters during the school year, I figured I would bring home one of these New HP DeskJet 3636 Printers for her to use to print her color-coded lists and school projects on. When I walked through the door with this all-in-one HP Deskjet 3636 in Dragonfly Blue, she was thrilled!
My daughter unpacked this HP DeskJet 3636 and declared that this was the printer she was going to not only print her color coded lists on, but also take to college next year. With easy printing from her smartphone or laptop (without accessing a network); to quick scanning on the go with the free HP All-in-One Printer Remote mobile app; to high-quality printing and copying (with the ability to print up to twice as many pages with Original HP high-yield ink cartridges), this wireless printer was a clutter free, value-filled, answer to her organizational dreams!
If you are looking for a printer, you will be pleased to find that with this HP DeskJet 3636:
• You can simplify your tasks: The display panel features simple icons for controlling print, scan, and copy functions.
• Print in any room you choose—without causing disruptions. Optional quiet mode helps keep noise to a minimum.
• Put your best print forward. Create borderless photos, flyers, and other documents—right in your home and access coloring pages, recipes, coupons, and more with free HP Printables—delivered on your schedule!
One of the first things my daughter used this HP DeskJet 3636 for was to print out her “Countdown to College: Senior Year Checklist.” Now, am not going to lie, seeing it on the fridge is bittersweet for me. But, while I’m a bit soupy about her moving out and on, I am secretly thrilled that she is so organized -especially when it comes to her school work. And, I am so proud that she is on top of her deadlines – today when I came home, she was in the middle of her first college application!
She provided me with a copy of her “Countdown to College: Senior Year Checklist” which she says helps keep her sane during the insanity of “seniorsitis” – and, which I am enclosing here. If you happen to have a senior child or relative, you can download a Google file of this document >HERE< or print it on YOUR new HP DeskJet 3636.
