Vegetable and Fruits unite in this thick and creamy, super spiced, dairy free smoothie that has the power of oats to keep your belly rumble-free through the morning!

Dairy Free Dole Mango Carrot Smoothie #BestBlendsForever

When I was five years old, my parents started speaking a different language. They started using words like “share” and “give” that they expected me to not only know and comprehend but practice too! Yes – those early days when my sister came into my life sure were challenging for 5-year-old me! In those early years, she always seemed to want what I had – my pancakes, my mangoes, my milk – but, fortunately as time went by, she came to her senses!

And now we are on opposite ends of the spectrum. I love beet burgers and she loves 100% beef burgers. I am a sucker for flourless skillet cakes and she’d rather dip into a queso dip with nachos. I love staying in and cooking a fish curry and she loves going out to pick up Mexican. Yes – we are polar opposites when it comes to our food choices!

And, that’s not where are differences end. We are different in just about every aspect of life. But – that’s not necessarily a bad thing because differences help open our eyes to another point of view – if we are open to it. Sometimes, our differences even inspire us to step outside our comfort zones. For example, my sister is incredibly savvy and smart when it comes to business ventures and very often I admire how brave she is to head into a new venture without a security blanket – unlike me. You yank away my security net (figuratively) and I freeze up!

Speaking of freezing, I’ve never been a big fan of smoothies in winter. Then my sister got herself a Nutribullet and went on a smoothie rampage – slurping on a smoothie no matter what the temperature was (personally, I think she was trying to offset those beef burgers she was consuming). As I tend to go in the opposite direction, I figured I’d wait for warmer weather before I jumped back on the smoothie bandwagon.

But then, as fate would have it, I bumped into the New Dole® Fruit & Veggie Blends as I was walking through the Frozen Fruit aisle at Walmart. When I saw that each 16 oz bag is a frozen smoothie starter that combines fruit and vegetables together, I could not resist bringing one home to try out – after all, differences do inspire us to try new things -right?

From the 3 flavors, I picked the Mango Carrot Medley, leaving the Fruit & Greens and Orange Medley to get next the next time I am at Walmart. These new Dole® Fruit & Veggie Blends take the guess work out of trying to figure out what combinations of fruit and veggies work well together especially when I am short on time.

  3. A very healthy smoothie! I usually use fruit only in my smoothie, but l should definitely use veggies too to get more vitamins and nutrients. I love the combination of mango and carrot, they go well together. Very nice!

  4. GiGi Eats says:

I could MAKE this without the mangos (I know you’re showcasing the mango/carrot combo – but alas no mangos for me) and oats… That could be interesting! I don’t typically like carrots but I could actually see this as being pretty good!

  5. I love the combo of carrot and mango – I’m totally craving this now!

  6. I loooooove mango! This sounds so so good.

  7. Asha says:

I love nutri bullet and the dole frozen fruits. I always have it in my freezer for morning smoothies. I am with you, not a big fan winter mornings, but so good. This looks so smooth and creamy Sashi.
Btw…being a single girl I always refuse to know the meaning of the word share…haha.
On another note love how well you articulate your thoughts, so much fun.
Have a wonderful weekend my dear.
    xoxo

  8. Carrot and mango? Great combo! But all mine — no sharing. 🙂

  9. Emily says:

  10. I’m so very glad you decided to jump on the smoothie bandwagon. The more the merrier, that’s my saying.
And this bad boy looks like the quintessential awesmazing smoothie, I need to make it happen sooner rather than later.
    Great job my friend!

  11. I’m thinking your sister and I have pretty similar tastes, Shashi. Now I love your creations, but you had me at nachos and queso. I think that might be one of my top 3 weaknesses. Although now that I’ve met this smoothie, I’m thinking it will rise up the list quickly. It looks delicious!! I’ll have to check out those Dole medleys next time I’m at Walmart. Delicious!

    • Shashi says:

Hahaha – so if I have y’all over at the same time I guess all I need to serve are nachos and queso! 🙂
Those new veggie – fruit medleys are pretty awesome – Lil Shashi and I made a smoothie bowl (not to be confused with a bowl of queso) using the same combo only added in papaya and nanners and ooh so good!

  12. amindfullmom says:

My sister and I sound a lot like you and your sister–total opposites, but rarely a day goes by we don’t talk to eachother. And personally, I think Mango and carrot are a perfect combo.

  13. This sounds absolutely dreamy!

  14. Ramona W says:

  15. I love the spices you have used here. My sister and I are very different and yet the same if that makes sense

  16. hotlyspiced says:

I love my Nutri-Bullet. And I’m one of five girls so I quickly learnt that nothing was mine and everything was shared! I love the sound of your carrot and mango smoothie! xx

  17. Ashley says:

I put carrots in my smoothie for the first time recently and loved it! This sounds delicious – I am totally digging those toppings for the smoothie!

  18. Tara says:

This looks delicious! I’ve been having dairy free smoothies here in Guatemala, but that just means making them with water. This looks like a much tastier idea!

  19. annie says:

This smoothie sounds fantastic! I love the addition of the spices here and there, it almost sounds like carrot spice cake.

  20. I’ve never thought to add carrots to my fruit smoothies, but that actually sounds like a brilliant idea! I love how carrots and mangoes sound together. And I’m one of those people who’ll drink smoothies even when it’s absolutely freezing outside, so I’m totally on board with smoothies in January 😀

    • Shashi says:

Thanks bunches Amanda – I don’t think I would have thought of it either – but thankfully Dole did! And they were all conveniently cut up into Nutribullet friendly chunks!

  21. Asmita says:

    So healthy and delicious!!
