National Ice Cream Day fell in July and I celebrated ALL month long! To be honest, I started my celebrations a month earlier in June!

Y’all that’s A LOT of ice cream for this mildly lactose-intolerant gal.

It’s a good thing that a lot of that ice cream I indulged in included Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy Chocolate Salted Fudge Truffle, Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge, and Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy Coconut Caramel. Have y’all tried Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy collection yet?

Why you need to try Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy collection:

If y’all haven’t then make use of this card coupon at an Ahold store near you and take a moment to treat yourself to this extraordinarily creamy and indulgent, super-premium ice cream without the dairy. My daughter says that Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy flavors don’t even taste like they are dairy free!

While most non-dairy options simply start by substituting soy, almond or cashew milk, every flavor in our Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy collection begins with a core ingredient, like real pieces of Belgian chocolate, actual peanut butter, or real coconut cream. The result? Indulgent non-dairy flavors with a creamier texture and an authentic taste that shines through.

So, let Haagen-Dazs help you find small moments of personal indulgence in your everyday to recognize and reward yourself for all your effort to make life extraordinary.

How we enjoyed creamy Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy ice creams:

My daughter and I indulged in quite a few containers of creamy Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy flavors which I picked up at Food Lion. (You can load this coupon to your Ahold card for $.75 off your purchase!) While we loved to take a moment in the evening while we caught up on our latest episode of Code Black, to indulge in a few spoonfuls of this creamy, non-dairy treat, we also thoroughly indulged our taste buds in Flourless Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches.

I used one of our go-to Flourless Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie recipes. This recipe has been inspired by many of those flourless peanut butter chocolate chip cookies navigating the internet. I like to bake these only for 10 minutes so they are still soft, so I usually add in a bit of oat flour (ground up oats) to add some firmness to the cookies. While the ratio of peanut butter to sugar is 1:1, I usually use way less sugar so the cookies and Häagen-Dazs® Non-Dairy ice cream flavor I am using, balance each other out.

This recipe makes about 14 large cookies. Which would make 7 large Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches. Now, I ended up dipping some of these treats in melted milk, dark and white chocolate – but that is totally optional.

You could enjoy one of these creamy and indulgent Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches when you make them. And, you can wrap the rest up in plastic wrap, place them in an airtight container and save them for another day, in your freezer. When you are ready to take a break and enjoy a moment, simply unwrap, let these Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches thaw out for about 3-5 minutes and enjoy!

These ice cream sandwiches look divine. And I love that the cookies are made with oat flour and that the whole thing is lactose-free. I'm lactose sensitive, so I'm always looking for non-dairy ice cream recipes.

My daughters are lactose intolerant, so I am definitely going to have to try this ice cream! And, I've made flourless chocolate cakes, but not peanut butter cookies, definitely going to try those too!
