Healthy Baked Chocolate & Reese’s Oatmeal!

Being a health nut…
I have been smitten by oatmeal…
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Being extremely balance challenged …
I have always been in awe of yogis!
Am a little sad that the only yoga pose I have been able to master is…
Child’s pose!
But … the other day, I came across this…
This Face Yoga stuff sounds like so much fun!

(check out this link if the above one does not connect)
I mean – imagine doing “the psycho prom queen” while in line at the grocery store…
or
Imagine doing “the lion face” while you are stuck in traffic!!!
So much fun…
(at least till someone who might cut you off sees you…then…hmmm…)
Oh well…
Getting back to oatmeal – I love how it can be baked, smooshed, creamed, muffinized, cookiefied and still be scrumptious AND healthy!

This baked oatmeal even got the thumbs of from my daughter (and her relationship with oatmeal is as rocky as her one with broccoli!)

Ingredients for 2 servings:
1 cup rolled oats
2/3 cup milk (I used almond)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
semi sweet chocolate chips (quantity according to your preference)
a handful of mini Reese’s cups

Directions:
Preheat oven to 365 degrees. Mix ALL the ingredients together and pour into two oven safe bowls that have been lightly greased with olive oil. Bake for 20 minutes and then enjoy with either more chocolate chips and/or peanut butter 🙂

Yummy! We love our almost daily oatmeal. in summer, we keep it cool with bircher muesli. Can't wait for hot pipping oatmeals in winter :)

I like hot pipping oatmeal ALL year! I haven't tried bircher muesli yet - need to keep an eye out for it. And thanks Kiran, always good to read your comments :)

That sounds like an oatmeal recipe that I might even like!! I'm not a huge fan normally but the chocolate and Reese's could really improve it!! I pinned it to try when it cools off a little!
