The Keurig 2.0 helped alleviate a lot of the morning madness in our home…but it left me with a conundrum…which I am hoping you could help me with?
When my daughter was younger and she walked like me and she talked like me (I might have a slight accent), I was thrilled. I mean, isn’t it every parent’s dream to have a mini version of themselves?! But then, she started growing up, she started changing, she started saying “dance” instead of “dah-nce”; and she started skip-walking instead of trip-walking – and I was dejected! It was like an orange fell out of an apple tree -me being the apple tree!
But then, the teen years loomed and I started catching her sneaking sips of my coffee and I was once again thrilled! YES! I thought, maybe she was gonna (at least) enjoy coffee like I did! But then, she started showing a preference for coffees flavored with caramel or pumpkin spice and I was once again dejected! Don’t get me wrong, pumpkin spice is delicious, but, Monday to Friday, I need something stronger! So, over the last few years, we have brewed two separate flavors and strengths of coffee in our 10 cup coffeemaker – which is kinda insane, seeing our mornings are insanely hectic! But, a day cannot be started with a cuppa we don’t love – right?
However, these last couple of days, our mornings haven’t been quite as stressful due to this new addition on our kitchen counter! The folks at Keurig sent me 2 of the new Keurig 2.0 brewers that have had me enjoying an extra strong cup of House Blend and my daughter enjoying a cup of pumpkin spice without the added stress of new filters, grinds leaking out of filters, washing pots in-between and still trying to make it out the door in time!
My daughter was reading the manual and was flabbergasted that there are up to 400 different varieties from 60 brands, including America’s top 10 best-selling coffee brands, for her to try! The new Keurig® 2.0 is said to feature “Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology™”, which helps to deliver a perfect beverage by reading the lids of the wide variety of K-Cup packs and K-Carafe packs available – yes, the Keurig 2.0 brewer can brew both a single cup and a four-cup carafe of coffee!
Now, when my mom and sister come to stay with us this Christmas, maybe I can convince them to stop reaching for the instant coffee I have in the back of my pantry; as they don’t ever seem to like the strength or flavors of the ground coffees we have on hand (speak about oranges from apple trees, eh!).
The new Keurig 2.0 brewer is available at Target and would make a great holiday gift for someone you love – or even just for yourself, this holiday season!
Earlier on, I mentioned that the folks at Keurig sent me 2 of the Keurig 2.0 brewers, and suggested I gift the other one to a friend or family member…and that’s where my conundrum lies…you see, I wanted to give it to my mom (in-spite of the fact that she prefers instant coffee); but, my daughter thinks that since her grandma prefers instant, I should gift the 2nd Keurig 2.0 brewer to her (my daughter) as a going away to college present (only she doesn’t go away to college for another 2.5 years…
Please hep me with my conundrum – who do you think I should gift it too?
