Little things can make the biggest difference...
To some people, doing little things is just second nature...
Listening, keeping their word, lending a helping hand without even being asked...
It's just part of their make up...
But, for someone on the receiving end, these so called "little things" can mean a world of difference!
I have been very fortunate to have crossed paths with some amazing people who thought their little gesture was nothing: there was Mr. Vic Robinson, the plumber who refused to accept any form of payment for tightening a stop valve; there's my friend JB who, without being asked to, visits my dad at the nursing home he is staying at; and there's the good folks at Physicians Immediate Med who after examining my daughter after a soccer accident, sent us home with a boat load of advice and packs of Alleve, and told us to "not worry about payment" as they did not accept the insurance I had. Then, last night, I happened on this story, of a kind Samaritan who parked the car of a gentleman who suffered a seizure and had to be taken to hospital - instead of having the car impounded!
Little things ...the "no big deal" things...they are what makes the sun shine for some of us, even on a dreary day!
Speaking of little things, yesterday was a day of little bowls or pans of eats! Today, being Wednesday, I am joining in the food partay hosted by Jenn @ Peas and Crayons for WIAW!
Contrary to what it might look like, this is a small, teeny, little pan (I was too lazy to wash a pan and a bowl so just ate from the pan). In the pan- oats, cinnamon, salt, chia, peanut butter and dark chocolate!
I made a second batch of these Spinach & Cheese pancakes and had a little one for a snack
A little bowl of spaghetti squash and defrosted turkey ball soup from last week.
Aaaannnd - that's all folks!
Here's hoping YOUR day is filled with not so "little" things!
