Bacon and Brussels Sprouts are a popular combo, but Brussels Sprouts get an upgrade in this simple, 3-ingredient recipe that uses bacon flavored broth to "quick-steam" the Brussels Sprouts in - resulting in a truly delicious dish!
- 3/4 lb Brussels Sprouts sliced
- 1/3 cup chicken broth
- 1.5 slices of bacon
- Optional Toppings: pistachios cilantro and red pepper flakes
Get Recipe Ingredients
Cook the bacon in a skillet till done
Then remove bacon and set aside on paper towels
Use a couple of paper towels to sop up a bit of the bacon fat
Then add sliced Brussels Sprouts into skillet and cook till they begin to caramelize some
Then add in the chicken broth and cover and let Brussels Sprouts "steam" for 3 minutes
Then remove cover, stir a bit and let Brussels Sprouts cook till broth is cooked off
Top with ripped up bacon pieces
Also, if so desired, top with pistachios, cilantro and red pepper flakes
