This summer, add a tasty and spicy spin to your backyard burger bar with this nutritious and tasty, Spicy Green Goddess Sauce ~ it is delicious slathered on burgers as well as a dipping sauce for fries.
- ½ cup chickpeas
- ½ cup spinach packed tightly
- ½ a small avocado
- ¼ cup cilantro
- 4 tbsp water
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large whole jalapeno minus stem
- Juice of ½ lime
- Salt and pepper to taste

Drain a can of chickpeas and rinse the chickpeas under cold running water before measuring out a half cup to use for this recipe. (save the rest and see notes)
Add drained and rinsed chickpeas, spinach, avocado, cilantro, water, oil, jalapeno, and lime to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve.
