Spiced with coriander and smoked paprika, these turkey balls are such a tasty treat. In this Easy Turkey Ball Curry, they are added to a gloriously spiced tomato curry sauce that is sure to tantalize your tastebuds.

Ingredients

For the turkey balls:

  • 3 tablespoons almond meal
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

For the curry

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 onions diced
  • 2 inch piece of ginger finely chopped
  • 6 pieces garlic chopped
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup coconut milk can use almond milk or regular milk too
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
  • salt and pepper
  • handful of cilantro

Instructions

For the turkey balls:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Add the almond meal, turkey, egg, coriander, cayenne, smoked paprika, salt,
    and pepper together into a bowl and mix well.
  • Form into balls and bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and set aside.

For the curry:

  • Add diced onions and oil to a pan over medium heat and saute 10 minutes.
  • Grate the ginger and add it along with the copped garlic to the onion and saute 5 minutes.
  • Then add in the water, coconut milk, tomato paste, coriander, cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne, turmeric powder, red chili powder and mix well.
  • Then ad in the baked turkey balls and cover and simmer 5 more minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste and garnish with cilantro and enjoy!
