Coriander, cumin, and smoked paprika add a tasty spin to these easy, gluten free lentil cheese burgers. Enjoy them with a light salad or on lettuce leaves or a bun with all the fixings.

Ingredients

For the Burgers

  • 4 cups cooked lentils I boiled 2 cups red lentils in 4 cups water for 25 minutes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1/2 cup grated Dill Flavored Castello Haverti Cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 small onion finely chopped

For the Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon wasabi paste
  • 1 1/4 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice

Instructions

For the burgers

  • Preheat oven to 375
  • Mix all the ingredients in a bowl till well incorporated
  • Coat a pan with olive oil and let heat up over a medium flame
  • Form lentil-cheese mixture into burgers
  • Cook on each side for 4 minutes -flipping gently
  • Transfer to a foil lined baking tray and bake at 375 for 15 minutes

For the Sauce:

  • Mix all the ingredients together and serve with warm Lentil & Cheese Burgers
