Drain and rinse off the chickpeas.
Peel the beets. Then grate them or chop them up roughly.
Place the beets, garlic, chickpeas, rolled oats, paprika, cumin, turmeric, Teriyaki Sauce, and cilantro in a food processor and pulse till well incorporated.
Then, using your hands, press, and form the mixture into balls, and flatten them into burgers. You can refrigerate these for a few hours or use them immediately.
If using immediately, you can grill the burgers for 4–5 minutes on each side or if cooking on the stove top, saute in olive oil for 4-5 minutes on each side on a low flame.
Serve on shredded lettuce bed with your favorite sauces.
