Honey Ginger Sesame Peppers

These Honey Ginger Sesame Peppers are delicious and only take 15-minutes to make. Pair them with Mason Dixie Buttermilk Biscuits and Hilary’s Breakfast Veggie Sausage for a tasty meal you and your family can enjoy for breakfast, lunch, dinner or even an after school snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 Mason Dixie Buttermilk Biscuits
  • 2 Hilary’s Breakfast Veggie Sausage
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 red onion
  • 2 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parsley to garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare Mason Dixie Buttermilk Biscuits and Hilary’s Breakfast Veggie Sausage according to package directions.
  • While Mason Dixie Buttermilk Biscuits and Hilary’s Breakfast Veggie Sausage are baking, peel and dice onion, and if using
    fresh ginger, skin and grate ginger
  • Add olive oil to a pan and add in the onion and sauté about 10 minutes over medium/high heat, stirring often so onion does not stick.
  • While onion is sautéing, slice up red, green and yellow bell peppers.
  • Then add in the ginger and peppers to sautéed onions and mix well. Sauté about 3 minutes, stirring often.
  • Add the honey and sesame and mix well.
  • Remove from heat, season with salt and pepper and garnish with parsley.
  • Serve piled onto Mason Dixie Buttermilk Biscuits and Hilary’s Breakfast Veggie Sausage and enjoy!
