Made with only 9 ingredients, this plant-based Spicy Mango Sauce is delicious as a dip or smothered on your favorite Plant-Based Patties or sausage. Naturally sugar-free and gluten-free, this is a wholesome and easy mango sauce recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3/4 inch ginger
  • 1 mango
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tap turmeric
  • 1 tsp chili
  • 3 tbsp coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Peel and chop the onion, garlic, ginger, and mango.
  • Add oil to a pan and add in the onion, ginger, and garlic and saute over medium heat for 10 minutes - stirring often so it doesn't burn.
  • Then remove from the heat and add into a blender or bowl where you can use an immersion blender in.
  • Also add in the turmeric, cumin, chili powder, coconut milk, and maple syrup and blend until all ingredients are well incorporated. Season with salt and pepper to taste and enjoy!
