Chipotle pepper, cumin, and adobo sauce add a punch flavor to this Chipotle Almond Hummus. This creamy and light hummus is tahini-free and totally delicious as a dip or spread.
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup Blue Diamond Honey Roasted Chipotle almonds
- 1 cup garbanzo beans - skinned
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1/3 cup water
- juice of half a lemon
Get Recipe Ingredients
Add the quarter cup of water and 1/2 cup of almonds to a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Lower the heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.
Turn off the heat and let cool
Add the cooled almonds and water to a blender or food processor and pulse till almonds are ground up.
Add the garbanzo beans, the cumin, the chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, the oilve oil and remaining 1/3 cup water and lemon juice and pulse till mixture is smooth and creamy.
Enjoy with pita chips and/or vegetables
