You can still enjoy an Easy Homemade Salsa even if you do not have tomatoes on hand with this versatile and tasty 3-ingredient version ~ or should I say, salsa-hack.

Ingredients

  • 1 15 oz can fire-roasted tomatoes
  • 1/4 red onion
  • 2 tsp cilantro
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Open can of fire roasted tomatoes and drain just a bit of the liquid out. Then, place the fire roasted tomatoes in a bowl.
  • Divide a red onion into 4 quarters. Set the other three quarters aside and dice up one quarter of the red onion.
  • Add the diced onion to the bowl with the fire roasted tomatoes.
  • Chop up some cilantro so it equals 2 teaspoons and add this to the bowl as well.
  • Mix all ingredients well, season with salt and pepper as needed, and enjoy.
