These hummus biscuits are a flavorful spin on traditional biscuits. Made with only 4 pantry-staple ingredients, they are perfect for breakfast, snack time, or as a side to soups and salads.
Ingredients
1cupAll-porpose flour
1/2 + 1 tbspcupRoasted Red Pepper Hummus(or any flavor you prefer)
Mix the AP flour, baking powder, hummus, and olive oil together until it forms into a dough. If the mixture is too dry, add about a tablespoon more of hummus.
Place dough on a wooden board or cutting board. Using your hands (or a rolling pin) spread dough until about 1/4 inch thick. Then, using a cookie cutter or mason jar lid, cut out 6 to 7 circles/biscuits.
Place them on a parchment paper or silicone-lined baking sheet. Bake these for 20 minutes in the preheated oven.
Best enjoyed warm
Notes
*Use an equal amount of self-raising flour and leave out the baking powder, making these 3-ingredient hummus biscuits!
