Sneak a little chocolate into your morning with these Hemp Chocolate Breakfast Cookies. Packing a hefty nutritious punch, these cookies are just the right amount of sweet to get you energized to face the day.
- 1/2 cup rice flour can be subbed with 1/2 cup ground oats
- 1/2 cup almond meal can be subbed with 1/2 cup ground oats
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons Hemp Hearts
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 2 oz roughly chopped dark chocolate 1/3 cup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup melted coconut oil can be subbed with melted butter
Get Recipe Ingredients
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Mix all the dry ingredients with a spoon/spatula
Add the egg and melted coconut oil and mix well
Form into 6 balls and gently flatten slightly before placing on a parchment lined baking tray
Bake 10 - 12 minutes and let cool
Can be enjoyed as is or topped with almond butter or chocolate hazelnut butter
