Salmon is coated with fresh lemon juice, freshly grated ginger, and a smattering of zaatar and then pan-roasted until it’s lightly seared and fabulously flaky.
- Oil
- 1 lemon
- 1 inch knob of ginger - peeled and grated
- 1 tsp zaatar
- 4 salmon fillets
- Salt and pepper

Cut the lemon in half and cut off 3-4 slices from one half.
Peel the ginger and grate it until you have approx 1 tsp
Then, add oil to the pan and place over medium heat.
Add in lemon slices and let saute a minute or so and prep salmon fillets
Squeeze lemon juice over salmon
Sprinkle 1/ tsp zaatar and ½ tsp ginger and place in pan with seasoned side of salmon fillets facing down. Let cook for about 3-4 minutes or until a nice sear has formed.
Sprinkle other side of salmon fillets with lemon juice, remaining zaatar, and ginger, and flip fillets over. Let cook another 3-4 minutes or until seared.
Season with salt and pepper.
Remove from the heat and let sit in the pan for about 5 minutes before enjoying.
