Spiked with cinnamon, cloves and cardamom, a slice of this plant-based Apple Pecan Breakfast Bread is so inviting on a cold morning.
Ingredients
2cupsrolled oats
½cupsugar
1tbspbaking powder
1tspcinnamon
¼tspcloves
¼tspcardamom
1cupSilk® Almondmilk
½cupcreamy almond butter
2tbspflax meal
¼cuppecans
½a medium appleI used a Gala apple
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degreesAdd oats to a blender and blend until oats are a flour like consistency.
Then add in the sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, Silk® Almondmilk, almond butter, flax meal to the blender and blender well and remove blender from base.
Then, peel and dice 1-2 an apple and add it to the blender. Also add in the pecans – but do not turn on the blender. Instead, using a spatula/spoon fold the apples and pecans into the batter.
Pour batter into a parchment lined loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes at 350 degrees.
Remove from oven and let cool.If so desired, drizzle with this lemon drizzle.
