We probably (Well, most likely) have different levels of tolerance to cold weather (I was walking in a t-short, and it was just ~13C earlier today…and it was too hot – I really wanted my shirts too.), but we can agree on that colder parts of the year are about comfort soup and cozy drinks, like tea. I am a huge fan of cardamom, so this combination is right up my alley!

This is definitely the time for nice, warming drinks. Terrific looking recipe! Thanks.

So I have to ask how much of the “naturally frothed” tea actually stayed in the glass there? Haha! It was great seeing Lil S make a cameo appearance on the blog. So Covington, eh? That’s in New York, right? 🙂 Seriously, though, this tea sounds awesome – I’ve never thought about using a slow cooker for tea. Genius idea for the holiday season! And I know we would love the flavors here – also, Laura is the same as you when it comes to cold weather. I think we have an entire closet of coats just for her. Haha!

I need one :-)) A perfect winter warmer!

  5. I bet it would make a huge difference making a tea in a slow cooker. I haven’t tried it but just got some black leaves as a present and I had no idea how to make delicious tea with them. Now I know. Thanks.

Perfect for Christmas Day when you can leave it in the slow cooker to keep warm and just add a ladle so guests can help themselves.

  7. This sounds so warming and comforting. Great that is it done in the slow cooker too.

  8. Now I want to go and make myself this tea. I enjoy reading your story about going to an open market that is exactly what we have in Nigeria. I will let you know when I make this tea; this recipe is right on this colder temperature.

  9. This is the perfect fall tea. The cardamom and cinnamon are so fragrant.
