Easy 4-Ingredient Chocolate Bourbon Popsicles
Made with just 4 ingredients, these Chocolate bourbon popsicles are a wonderful adult way to cool off! They are super easy to make and are lactose-free as well!

This chocolate bourbon popsicle recipe is an easy one to make. These pops are dairy-free and absolutely delicious!
So, how do you like your bourbon? In a Lift? Or an Old fashioned? Maybe you like it straight up> Or, on the rocks?
Or, maybe you like it like I do — with a side of chocolate or baked into some Christmas Cake Cupcakes?
To be honest, I am not a huge fan of hard liquor. But, I do love the layer of flavor bourbon seems to add to cakes, waffles, ice cream, and these Chocolate Bourbon Popsicles.
My almost-college bound daughter likes to taunt me with the fact that she cannot wait for our trip across The Pond this year so she can enjoy some Bourbon straight up — legally! What the what?!
Recently I was trying to find out more about bourbon as I don’t know much about it other than the fact that it tastes good in the goodies I use it in … and stumbled on the fact that unlike scotch, bourbon does not employ any artificial coloring to get that gorgeous, highlights and lowlights in the sun look — maybe you have some more fun facts or stories about bourbon you’d like to share?
Getting back to these popsicles — these Chocolate Bourbon Popsicles are super easy to make and, if lactose isn’t your friend, these popsicles also happen to be dairy-free. You don’t even need a blender, food processor, or electric mixer to make these. Just a couple of bowls, a whisk, and a popsicle mold.

What are the ingredients needed to make these boozy Bourbon Chocolate Popsicles?
You will need:
- Coconut condensed milk,
- Coconut milk,
- Good quality chocolate, and
- Good-quality Bourbon!
Substitutions
- Coconut condensed milk + Coconut milk,
If dairy is your friend, you can very easily substitute out the coconut condensed milk with regular full fat condensed milk and the coconut milk with heavy cream and enjoy!

- Bourbon
If you want to make a batch of these popsicles without the bourbon, then feel free to use any alcohol that would pair well with chocolate. Or, leave the alcohol out and make a batch of alcohol-free, 3-ingredient chocolate popsicles that are dairy-free and delicious!
- Chocolate
I like to use milk chocolate or semi-sweet dark chocolate. But, bittersweet chocolate could also be used, depending on if you prefer sweet or slightly sweet popsicles.
Instructions
Place 1/2 cup of the chocolate in a microwave-safe dish and microwave for 25 to 30 seconds. Take out, stir, and if not melted, return to the microwave and microwave for another 25 to 30 seconds until the chocolate is melted. Stir well.
Add the coconut milk and coconut condensed milk into a large bowl and add the melted chocolate as well.
Using a whisk, blend all three ingredients together till well incorporated.
Then, add in the bourbon.
Carefully, pour the mixture into 4 popsicle molds. It might help to use some sort of funnel or spout for easy pouring. If your popsicle molds come with popsicle sticks, then place the molds with the attached popsicle sticks into the freezer and freeze for at least 3 hours. However, if using wooden sticks as the popsicle holders, set the popsicle molds with the boozy bourbon cocoa pops in the freezer for about 45 minutes. Remove them and add the wooden sticks into the middle of the molds. When the popsicle mixture is a bit frozen, the wooden sticks can be set upright and in the middle more easily, and they do not fall to the side.
Then, freeze for 2.5-3 hours.
Dislodge from molds by dipping molds into warm water for a few seconds (15-25 seconds).
Melt the other 1/2 cup of chocolate and dip Chocolate Bourbon Popsicles into the melted chocolate before enjoying.
Serving suggestions
These chocolate bourbon popsicles are delicious as is.
However, if you want to serve these to guests with a fun spin, add these to your favorite bourbon cocktail or espresso martini, much like I did with these pistachio popsicles with tiger milk.

Bring these popsicles on, my friend! I am a huge fan of both bourbon and scotch…in fact, those are my go-to liquors. I do occasionally bake/cook with them, but I don’t think I’ve ever incorporated them into a popsicle. This clearly needs to happen soon!
