These homemade Cheddar Jalapeño Pepperoni Cracker appetizers are a favorite in our home. The unique flavor combination of these crackers with Margherita® Thick Sliced Pepperoni (or Margherita® Hard Salami), a piece of cheddar, sweet raspberry jam and crisp and fresh jalapeño, has our tastebuds singing – no lie!
For as long as I can remember, my daughter and I have ushered in a New Year with a coffee table spread of appetizers.
Over the years, we have had everything from roasted red pepper dip to black eyed peas and greens stuffed buns to no bake white chocolate almond bites to a whole pistachio rose cake, adorn our coffee table.
A couple of years ago, my daughter suggested we add a cracker board to our New Year’s Eve coffee table tradition as well.
My contribution to our first cracker board was some homemade pumpkin crackers.
My daughter added some avocado cream, Margherita® Thick Sliced Pepperoni, some cheese and some pomegranate arils and grapes to that cracker board. And, then she did what just about every child of a food blogger would do, she took a photo and shared it with family and friends.
Ever since, we have been putting together small cracker boards for get-togethers with family and some friends. Most times I whip up some homemade crackers and then we add other homemade, semi-homemade and store-bought condiments to our board.
Recently, we were planning out our next cracker board when my daughter suggested we channel that first one we had.
So, we headed to the deli section at Walmart to grab some Margherita® Thick Sliced Pepperoni. When we were there, we also grabbed some Margherita Hard Salami because my daughter loves snacking on it after she gets home.
Margherita is known for great tasting, high quality dry sausage products. Margherita cracker cut items are perfect for snacking, entertaining, as well as incorporating into everyday recipes. In addition to Margherita® Thick Sliced Pepperoni and Margherita® Hard Salami, there’s also Margherita® Genoa Salami, and Margherita® Italian Dry Salami too.
Instead of making pumpkin crackers again, I decided to whip up some Cheddar Jalapeño Pepperoni Crackers.
As we love raspberry jam, we added that to the cracker board along with some cheddar slices and some chopped jalapeño as well.
Now crackers, pepperoni, cheese, and raspberry jam might sound like a bit of an odd combination – but, y’all have just got to give this combo a try!
When you get a mouthful of homemade Cheddar Jalapeño Pepperoni Cracker, some flavor-packed Margherita Thick Sliced Pepperoni (or Margherita Hard Salami), a piece of cheddar, sweet raspberry jam and crisp and fresh jalapeño, your tastebuds are going to sing! No lie!
We took these homemade Cheddar Jalapeño Pepperoni Cracker, some Margherita Thick Sliced Pepperoni (or Margherita Hard Salami), a piece of cheddar, sweet raspberry jam and crisp and fresh jalapeño over to my mom’s place to put together a small cracker board for my sister’s birthday.
Well, I forgot something in my car and headed down to get it and when I got back, my mom and sister had polished off all the homemade Cheddar Jalapeño Pepperoni Cracker, a good bit of the Margherita Thick Sliced Pepperoni, and other condiments.

Good. My dough never bound together, so I patted it into a rectangle and cut into 20 squares. Used 2Tbsp of milk instead of coconut milk. Used 2 thinly sliced pepperoni/cracker, the cheddar cheese, topped with blackberry jam.I tasted one to check on the “heat” level from jalapeno and decided 1/8–1/4 tsp was perfect. Pretty presentation and tasty. Thanks for creating the recipe.
