  1. Mmm stacks on stacks on stacks a.k.a. the ONLY way waffles should be served – looks delish! In terms of being a messy cook, I try to be efficient about it i.e. clean up as I go along wherever possible. The absolute worst is to be left with a big fat mess to clean up in the end. Aside from waffles, other foods that I ‘adore’ include peanut butter, chocolate & Greek yogurt…and blueberries especially of late!

  2. I’m somewhat of a messy cook. When it comes to dishes, I try to minimize for clean up purposes. But when it comes to actual messes, I just know I’m going to have to clean the countertop a few times! I feel like it comes with the job! Thank you so much for sharing such a delicious recipe!

  3. Wow, these beet berry waffles look amazing! I’m so impressed that they’re gluten free too! Meanwhile… the stains… the beet stains! What a side effect, as you call it, of “beet adoration.” You’re hilarious, btw. 😉 I also just read in one of the comments that your sister convinced you to just bleach the stains out… Lol. Yup, I remember a few times of having that go awry on me as well. 😉 Glad you found a great solution to keep your beet adoration from ruining your entire wardrobe, Shashi. Pinning this! 😉

  4. If Shout is the bomb diggity, then I be needing that ASAP. And not only beet stains, but how about Brick Street Chocolate Ganache??? Better take your spray bottle along for Saturday, girl. Have a fab time, you two, and I’ll be thinking of you. Do explore some, such a great area. I miss it. Hope the sun will be shining on you. xo

    1. Allie – prior to Shout, my sis convinced me to just bleach the heck out of those beet stained tshirts, even resorting to make patterns with bleach to rectify bleach-jobs-gone-wrong – mindblowing to think I could have avoided it all with a little bit of Shout! 🙂
Thanks lady – so wish you were gonna be there – but, I will be sure to eat a piece for you – yup, exploring is definitely on the agenda!
Hope you and all your boys have a wonderful weekend and Charlie had a great birthday! xoxo

  5. There she goes again with the beets..but I have to admit that these waffles look spectacular. So spectacular it doesn’t even look like there’s beet puree involved. I might have to try these bad boys myself #beettrust?

    1. I think beets must be in season, I’ve been lucking out and getting some really fresh ones recently – BTW Thanks so much Megan!

  6. I love the berry beet combination especially the way you’ve paired them with waffles. I’m a pretty clean cook for the most part but beets are always a bit messy!

  7. These waffles are too die for!!!! I can believe they have beets! I’m seeing beets everywhere nowadays, hidden in so many great dishes like this one. Last night at a restaurant we were served beet whipped cream over avocado ice cream. Crazy right?

  8. Beets hold a special place in my heart too! I love em’! Berries and beets go sooo well together – these must be delicious!!

    1. Thanks so much Ashley! Yes, beets and berries are like chocolate and PB – ooh wait, beets + berries + chocolate > chocolate + PB NO LIE! 🙂

  9. Lol, I’m messy in the kitchen too, Shashi!! Shoot, I’m also a messy eater… I swear more food ends up in my hair than in my mouth. 😉 And I happen to adore beets as well! These waffles are so pretty and I bet they taste delicious! Loving the combo of beets and berries in here! Perfect for a spring or summer breakfast! Nom Nom Nom!! Cheers, my dear! xo

    1. Hahaha – Cheyanne, just yesterday evening my daughter picked something out of her hair, put it in her mouth and said “mmm that was from lunch and it still tasted good” WTHECK???? I dunno where she gets it!
      🙂
BTW – Thanks so much dear – I hope THIS is the weekend when you give those snotty monsters the boot – they’ve taken up residence way too long! Hope your weekend is H-A-P-P-Y!!! XO
