  1. Woah, this casserole looks amazing, Shashi! I tell ya…lil Shashi knows her recipes! 😉 And good luck with the painting. We recently cleaned up all of our old paint cans (I think we had 25+ cans), and I was running around the house touching up about 10 different wall colors. Annoying! I wish I had one of these casseroles waiting for me on that day. Haha! Hope you and lil Shashi had an amazing Thanksgiving!

    1. Duuude – I could say the same for Mrs Spiced! That lady knows her food combos!
Lil Shashi and I had a low key but good Turkey day – glad to have read in your post earlier that y’all had a wonderful one too!

  2. Sounds so delicious Shashi and NO gluten!!!! Lets the the cheesy absolutely SHINE!!!! Good for you getting the painting done. We have a number of rooms that need re-paints, and touch-ups. No ten foot ceilings though. You are BRAVE, girl! Not to mention an awesome chef. xo

    1. Yay – you noticed! Yeah – most recipes I feed my daughter tend to be GF – though every now and then I miss ma gluten! 🙂
Those high ceilings are only in one room thankfully – and I still have quite a few rooms to do too – too bad we don’t live closer – I could help you with yours and throw a gal’s night painting party and have you help me with mine…?
BTW – thanks so much! xo

  3. Now that’s the kind of casserole I would definitely need a second helping from and maybe even a third. 🙂 Your photos are really fantastic and so crisp! I would love to know what camera/lens you use… really well done! 🙂

    1. Aww – thanks so much Ramona – you are too kind! I actually am using an older camera I won a few years ago in a giveaway – it’s a Canon T3 and I used the 18-55 lens that came with it. I just don’t zoom in – just move as close as I can and I am still making my way through Nagi’s book but haven’t bit the bullet and switched out of auto mode yet – I have tons to learn but so so appreciate your sweet comment!

  4. Yay to new paint in the living room! I love light gray and we have been tossing around the idea of painting our cabinets that color. So glad you conquered the walls AND your casserole fear! This casserole looks perfect, Shashi! Broccoli, bacon, eggs and cheese is a pretty fantastic combo! Serious comfort food going on here! Cheers, my dear! < 3

    1. Thanks so much Cheyanne!
By the way, my neighbors painted their cabinets a cold grey and it looks fabulous! Nothing like a new coat of paint for sure!
Hope you are doing ok. xoxo

    1. Thanks so much Christin! Yes – it is quite a contrast from the brownish beige walls that I’d been meaning to paint over for the past 6 years! 🙂

  8. Oh painting! We painted the town house we lived in in DC and never again! haha It took foreverrrrr. This casserole looks so comforting Shashi! Hope you had a great holiday!!

    1. Thanks so much Ashley!
Funny thing is I’ve painted a ton of rooms for myself and others – but the older I get, the longer it takes! Go figure eh?!
Hope you had a great holiday too my friend!

  9. Shashi, this looks so amazing! I’m also a shorty, so I can imagine that painting those ceilings was pretty intimidating. But you did it, and you made this! I love cheesy broccoli. It’s the best!

  10. Good for you tackling that paint project this past weekend! Better than fighting the crowds at the mall, right? LOL Love this meal – you had me at “bacon”!
