  1. I use salt for my cast iron skillet, too, and I’m love these cleaning cloths! Today, I wish my super power was to make this lovely dish appear in front of me — It looks amazing! The colors and the flavors…nice!

  2. I’ll admit that I’m not a beet fan, but the rest of them are all my faves. Maybe this is the way I can make it and enjoy it since my husband loves beets! And THANK you for cleaning your cast iron pan correctly. It always pains me to see people using soap on theirs 😉 #client

  3. Hey Shashi – I LOVE these tips on how to clean my cast iron better. I am “one of those” who uses the salt. Looks like I will be headed to Walmart to pick up some Scotch-Brite® Scrubbing Dish Cloths! Anything to make life easier. Like clones. I’m with you. I would have a whole lot more “me time” if I had a few clones too. An octopus would be equally acceptable, six more arms would be super useful I’m thinking. (Might be hard clothes shopping….) Not to mention, they’re quite intelligent creatures and I could use a few more gray cells as replacements for the ones I lost at each birth. And… the beets look absolutely delish. HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK my friend. XOXO

  4. Great way to serve beets, so creative and delicious. I am one that uses soap and water on my cast iron but that cloth looks like it would come in handy next time I’m in the store I’ll look for one.

  5. Hmmm I’m not sure what super power I would want to have. I’d love to be able to fly or teleport. But mind control and cloning yourself are pretty excellent options too! 😉 Wait, okay, maybe I’d like the superpower to eat whatever I want and never gain weight without working out. Then I’d be able to eat these amazing cheesy bacon braised beets on repeat!! Winning! I love beets, but add some bacon and cheese? OMG. YESS! These look all sorts of delicious, Shashi!! Cheers, dear!

  6. Beets are already a favorite of mine but with bacon and cheese?? I mean, c’mon!! Sounds fantastic!! Hope you had a great weekend Shashi!

  7. “why no choco milky?” LOLOL. Shashi, you never fail to crack me up! So… is it okay that I still kinda think this question in my mind? 😉 <– Hey, at least I'm not saying it out loud anymore! 😉 Meanwhile, I completely feel ya when you say you sometimes wish you could clone yourself. I joke with Erik about that ALL the time. Like, can we clone just one of each of ourselves so they can go work? But then the numbers increase as we realize we need more clones to do other stuff. Haha. Thanks for a very thorough, step-by-step tutorial on cleaning a skillet after something as hard to clean as cheesy bacon braised beets! I'm gonna need to have this handy for the next time I tackle a skillet-cleaning. Hope you have an awesome week, my friend! 🙂

  8. This sound like such a unique dish! I love all the ingredients but never would’ve thought to combine them!! YUM! 🙂 Also…those scrubbing dish cloths look like the perfect replacement to steel wool…which is harsh and leaves my hands hurting! Will definitely be looking for them the next time I go shopping! 🙂

  9. I have a skillet that’s been particularly stubborn, so I’m definitely going to have to check this out! 😀 Thank yoU! (+ that recipe looks absolutely amazing! I need to go grocery shopping!)
