  1. Gah that melted pb & jelly topping!!! This cake sounds freakin amazing Shashi! If I drive to your house, will you make me this?? haha happy weekend!!

    1. Haha – YES!!! Drive on over and this will be ready and waiting! 🙂 Thanks so much Ashley!
I never thought that melted PB and melted jelly would taste so darn good together!

  2. I’m not so good with the peanut butter 😛 But I can totally see this rocking with almond as well. And I normally go with creamy nut butters because they’re easier to work with in recipes, but there are times where a little bit of crunch makes all the difference. Also… I never really understood what jelly is? I just eat jam 😛

    1. I know you and PB are not the bestest of friends – but AB would work just as well!
And yeah – growing up in Sri Lanka all we had was “jam” – what’s up with that???

  3. So glad lil Shashi is starting to like real music!! I am a huuuuuge fan of the 70’s and early 80’s! Plus who doesn’t like Zeppelin?? I’m also a huge fan of PB&J! But this is PB&J turned up a dozen notches! LOVE the skillet cake, girlfriend! It looks incredibly moist and I love the pockets and drizzle of PB&J! This rocks! I could eat this for breakfast, lunch and dinner! So.YUM! Cheers – to a beautiful weekend (filled with good music and this delicious cake!)

  4. Haha…there’s hope for lil Shashi yet in the music category! Zeppelin all the way, man! Oh, and you’re moving? To upstate New York? awesome! Now I can get you to make me one of these PB&J cakes in person instead of sending it via the drone…that thing is so unreliable! 🙂

    1. Haha – tell me about it – I bet that drone ended up swallowing the cinnamon bacon doughnuts I sent to Upstate NYC! That drone’s no better than your mail-lady! GAH! 🙂
Lil Shashi would love it if we moved to Upstate NYC or NYC – but, am thinking milder temps – like maybe the Carolinas…but all depends on where she settles down after college…

  5. What an amazing looking skillet cake Shashi. Peanut butte and jelly sounds like a deadly combo. This is such an awesome delight for weekend. Would love to have a HUGE slice right now! 🙂

  6. I’ve never understood the peanut butter and jelly combination. But I don’t knock things I haven’t tried and I’d far rather have this than a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. This seems like a ground breaking recipe to me Shashi!

BTW. Yep. Give me Zeppelin and A-Ha and 70’s and 80’s music any day over the music of today!

    1. I didn’t grow up eating PB&J either – but wow – I have loved it ever since I tried it! By the way thanks so much Neil!
Oh – did you know A-ha was touring again? My inner high school girl wants to go catch them in concert….

  7. What a delicious treat! Peanut butter, oat and jam…I think I wouldn’t feel guilty enjoying a slice for the breakfast!
