Strawberry Beet and Banana Protein Shake
This Strawberry, Beet, and Banana Protein Shake will make getting your daily beet allowance a cinch! Check out the recipe below or read on to find out all the ways you can enjoy beets!

When it comes to food, my daughter has some quirks. For example, she loves apples and apple crumbles, but will always pass on apple pie. The same goes with her and grapes. She loves grapes in all their colors and hues – but if I tried to feed her grape jelly, I will become public enemy #1!
And, I shouldn’t complain too much. If you’ve been visiting this space of mine for a bit, you would probably know that my love for beets is strong. I love beets and have thoroughly enjoyed them in these:
• Crepes…
• Donuts…
• Banana bread…
• Crackers…
• Cakes…
• Cookies…
• Currries…
• Soups…
• Salads…
• Dips…
• Burgers…
• And even in this Pizza Base!
But – I am so not a fan of beet juice! I’ve tried adding ginger, and carrots and the like but just cannot seem to get it to where my tongue doesn’t wanna whip it outta my oral orifice!
And…thats where this shake comes into play!

I leaned on my love of the combination of beets and berries while making this shake. Now, this shake isn’t the thickest – it’s quite light – the kinda shake that you could down two glasses of and then go outside and run around in circles or mow your yard – whichever you fancy. Yes, you will taste the beets in here – but, so will you taste the frozen banana, the strawberries and Premier Protein‘s Strawberries and Cream Shake. Now, you could add more oats than the 1 tablespoon I used to make this thicker. Or, you could make ice cubes using Premier Protein‘s Strawberries and Cream Shake and use those with some of the liquid form of the shake for a thicker shake as well. Either way, whether you maybe a beet-lover or beet-hater, this is one shake am betting you will enjoy.

- 2 tbsp grated fresh beets beetroot
- 1 tbsp rolled oats

- Can top with whipped cream or whipped coconut cream to enjoy

There are many veggies I like raw but not cooked and vice versa. I am not a fan of beets
I like bananas Frozen or baked but not a huge fan of them raw!
I was raised on a farm on the outskirts of Bangor Maine- I’m totally a fan of strawberries. Yes, I eat beets.
I like cooked carrots, but won’t eat them raw. Love beets, cooked.
Beets are naturally sweet, so why not?! Beautiful color, thick and delicious! You are the beet queen!
I really like kale in smoothies but can’t eat it any other way!
I love this combination! So healthy and refreshing
Ive never actually tried beets before. I do have foods that I like it one form but not another. One that came to mind first are eggs.
I love me some beets! And you just cannot beat that gorgeous color! Loving the sound of this shake Shashi! Hope you’ve had a great week!
My love for beets is so strong too! I love the idea of adding them to a shake! Why not?! Brilliant! And lol about your daughter and grape jelly. I kinda agree. There is something about the way it smells… Just not the same as the fruit itself (or wine, he he.)
Who could resist this shake when the color is so vibrant? And you’ve made it so adaptable as well with ways to make it thicker. Gorgeous.
I love beetroot but I’ve never tried it in sweet recipes or a drink before. I’m not normally keen on smoothies, but this one looks too beautiful not to try!
The colour of this is amazing – that’s what I love about beets. This would be a great way to get kids to eat more fruit too.
Looks filling and delicious … I love the beautiful colour!
I love the pictures in this recipe the colours are great and the lighting super.
Love it. I love beets as well, this is a great shake and your photos are gorgeous❤️
