My daughter and I moved into our home a week ago. Though, if you were to stop by and see all the unpacked boxes, you’d probably think we moved in yesterday.

This time around, unpacking has been overwhelming. I opened one box of props only to realize the baskets and containers that housed the props were in another box – that is buried under a stash of more boxes! GAH!

I am so glad that I packed the air fryer I got for Christmas and my coffee maker in a rather large, unique box.

After we moved, that box was one of the first I found and unpacked. You see, I need that coffee maker to manage my morning glumness and that air fryer to make dinner a drama free ordeal.

With tons of boxes still lying around, my air fryer is sure to be getting a workout over the next few days… or weeks… or however long it takes to unpack this house.

Making Sweet Spicy Easy Air Fryer Chicken Tenders

Before our big move, while my daughter and I were in the middle of packing up our old condo, we tried out an air fryer chicken tender recipe that quickly became one of our favs.

Why do I love these Spicy-Sweet Air Fryer Chicken Tenders?

These Spicy-Sweet Air Fryer Chicken Tenders are so easy, so quick and so deliciously sweet and spicy, with a crispy coating over tender, juicy chicken! Aaaaand, they were ready in 20 minutes!

By the way, I used Domino Light Brown Sugar along with some smoked paprika, chili powder, cumin, and parsley to season up some breadcrumbs.

I also grated a garlic clove into the egg wash that coated the chicken tenders before they were dredged in the sweet and spicy bread crumb mix. You can find the recipe below.

How to make Spicy Sweet Air Fryer Chicken Tenders?

• Wash and pat dry chicken tenderloins

• Then, add break egg into a bowl and mix well with a fork.

• Grate the clove of garlic into the egg mix – this is going to be your egg wash for the chicken.

• Into another bowl, add breadcrumbs, @dominosugar and 1 tspn chili powder, 1 tsp cumin, ½ tsp smoked paprika, ½ tsp salt, and 2 tsps. parsley, and mix well.

• Now, prepare your work area so you can easily dip the chicken into the egg wash with one hand and then place it in the spiced breadcrumbs with the other. Then, dip chicken in egg wash, then in breadcrumbs, then in egg wash again and finally in breadcrumbs again.

• Place chicken in air fryer and set air fryer to 400 at 7 minutes.

• Then flip and cook another 7 minutes and enjoy with your favorite sauce.

  9. What a fun chicken tender idea! I’ve been waffling back and forth on getting an air fryer, but I haven’t made the leap yet. This recipe pushes me a little closer to getting one! I love the flavor combination here. Also, I hear ya on the unpacking. We have the same timeline as we’ve been in the new house for about 2 weeks now. We’re getting close to getting all of the boxes gone…but that doesn’t mean everything is put away yet. It’s a process! Hang in there, my friend!

  10. I still don’t have an air fryer Shashi. It’s one of those kitchen gadgets (there are many) that are on my kitchen “wish list”. The same one I pass about every Christmas when people ask me what I want. LOL! I get you with needing to have that coffee maker unpacked first though. My favourite time of the day is getting back from the gym early morning and having breakfast. And most of all coffee! Hope you maanage to get unpacked soon. And if I ever get that air fryer you can bet this delicious and simple recipe is one of the first on the list to trial!
